ABOUT US
North Port Meals on Wheels
North Port Meals on Wheels is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering more than just a meal.
Beyond the meal, our daily visits provide an essential wellness check. For many clients, our volunteers and staff are their only daily contact helping us monitor well-being, respond to emergencies, and support them in remaining safely at home with dignity and independence.

Established in 1972, we have proudly served the North Port community for over 50 years. What began in a small kitchen at Trinity Methodist Church preparing just 65 meals per day has grown into a thriving community-supported program.

In 2018, we expanded into a 1,240-square-foot commercial kitchen at 13600 Tamiami Trail, allowing us to meet the growing needs of our City. Today, we prepare and deliver approximately 150 meals per day, six days per week, supported by an incredible network of nearly 200 dedicated volunteers.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to preparing and delivering a nutritious meal with a friendly wellness check to adult residents who are unable to safely prepare a meal for themselves.
